Amendment Fuel Ordinance

As of 01.01.2023, the amendment to the Fuel Regulation will come into force. This amendment implements the targets for the use of renewable energy in road transport of Directive (EU) 2018/2001 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources. The focus of this amendment is to push the creditability of the renewable share of electric power, the increased use of which is made particularly attractive by the fourfold crediting to the corresponding targets. The same principle, a fourfold crediting, is also introduced for liquid or gaseous renewable fuels of non-biogenic origin, such as hydrogen.
