With her official registration, Theresa Karall (30) has been promoted to lawyer at PHH. Born in Burgenland, she strengthens the PHH team’s advisory expertise in public commercial law, public procurement law and environmental law.

Theresa Karall joined PHH in the team of Stefanie Werinos, who joined PHH as a partner in 2021. Theresa Karall is now moving up to lawyer, taking over the area of data protection and will further expand the areas of public procurement law and life sciences. In addition, the expert in public commercial law will continue to work in the numerous areas of regulatory and public law. Among other things, she advises on intra-group and international data transfers, public procurement procedures, cross-border compliance projects, data protection set-ups of start-up companies and the market entry of companies from a pharmaceutical and medical device law perspective. Theresa Karall is also developing a new field of advice on the NIS2 Directive in the area of cyber security.

The newly qualified lawyer has not only gained her practical experience in well-known law firms. With her participation in the first Austria-wide moot court in environmental law, as a speaker at the European Forum Alpbach and as an author focusing on data protection and energy, Theresa Karall brings a wealth of experience to the firm. “We congratulate Theresa Karall on her registration and are delighted that we are expanding our data protection practice with her,” says Managing Partner Julia Fritz. The team around Stefanie Werinos (partner) now consists of a partner and the two lawyers Theresa Karall and Sandra Kaspar and stands for women’s power in public commercial law and public procurement law.
