Theresa Karall’s expertise lies in advising on data protection and public economic law, particularly in the areas of procurement and planning law as well as in public life sciences and health care. In 2025, she successfully passed the examination to become a certified data protection officer.

Theresa Karall provides comprehensive advice on data protection issues and supports clients from various industries. Her focus is on ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). She specializes, among other things, in the legal support and consulting of intra-group and international data transfers, cross-border compliance projects, as well as data protection setups for start-up companies. Furthermore, she advises on data protection aspects in the context of transactions and corporate restructurings.

Regarding procurement law matters, Theresa Karall regularly advises both bidders and contracting authorities before and during the execution of procurement procedures.

In addition to this focus, she is a co-operator of the “Competence Center for Drone Law,” where she combines her expertise in data protection law with issues related to mobility law.

Theresa Karall has been with PHH since 2021 and practices as an attorney. She speaks German, English, and Croatian.
