PHH attorneys are expanding their Disputes Team. With Martina Stranzinger-Maier, 37, the Vienna-based business law firm has recruited a distinguished expert in litigation, civil law, insolvency law, and bank resolution to their Disputes Team. Stranzinger-Maier will join as Counsel and lead the Disputes division.

After completing her legal studies and judicial year in Innsbruck, Stranzinger-Maier moved to Vienna and has been active since 2011 in several prominent law firms as well as a lecturer for the Financial Market Authority. She has a special concern for the issue of Green Advertising and has notably advised successfully in a case where VKI accused a company of greenwashing. At PHH, Stranzinger-Maier will strengthen the Disputes Team both personally and professionally, and in collaboration with partners Julia Fritz (Sustainable Construction), Stefanie Werinos (Environmental and Energy Law), attorney Lisa Urbas (ESG Expert), and Banking & Finance partners Annika Wolf and Wolfram Huber (Green Loans), will build the new PHH ESG Desk. Martina Stranzinger-Maier will cover the civil and regulatory aspects, advising and representing companies, organizations, and individuals, particularly on matters of competition law and Green Claims.

“I am very excited that at PHH, I have the opportunity to advance the issue of ESG across disciplines. ESG also stands for fair play. Companies that genuinely commit to sustainability should not be impaired by greenwashing actions of other market participants,” says Stranzinger-Maier.

Julia Fritz, Managing Partner and HR responsible at PHH, emphasizes: “With Martina, we were able to win a perfect figurehead both professionally and personally for us and our Disputes Team. The Disputes Team will work interdisciplinarily with our other departments, such as Corporate, M&A, Banking & Finance, Labor Law, Real Estate, and Public Law, thus enabling full-service care for our clients.”
