We are pleased to announce that Andreas Bauman, one of Austria’s leading experts in tax planning and transaction taxes, has joined the team at Rechtsanwält:innen. Baumann will be bringing his own team, which includes tax consultants Christian Andre, Karin Spindler-Simader and Viktoria Wöhrer. In future, Rechtsanwält:innen will therefore be able offer tax law and tax consultancy from a single source – PHH Tax.
Baumann and tax consultants Christian Andre, Karin Spindler-Simader and Viktoria Wöhrer are coming to us from Rödl & Partner, a globally operating multidisciplinary unit. Previously, Andreas Baumann also worked for two Big Four companies and two leading Austrian law firms.
His professional focus is on advising medium-sized companies and private equity companies on M&A tax matters – particularly in the areas of national and international transactions, corporate finance and restructuring. He is a full member of the Tax Adviser Examination Board of the Chamber of Austrian Public Accountants and a longstanding university lecturer on the topics of M&A and Due Diligence at the Universities of Graz and Linz. Baumann is also co-editor of the manuals “Group Tax Planning” and “Tax Due Diligence” published by LexisNexis, editor of the “Restructuring” desk of Austrian Tax Express magazine (Österreichischer Steuerexpress) (publisher: Manz) and a regular lecturer on M&A, corporate tax law and international tax law.
