Online training: EU AI-Act basic training for employees

11. April 2025

Understand the legal requirements of the EU AI-Act and raise awareness among your employees

The EU AI-Act has been in force since August 1, 2024, and the first obligations for companies have been in force since February 2, 2025 – including ensuring that employees have sufficient AI skills in accordance with Article 4.

To support companies in implementing these requirements, the Austrian Retail Association is offering 1.5-hour online training sessions on April 28 and May 20, 2025. Theresa Karall, lawyer in the data protection and public commercial law team at PHH Rechtsanwält:innen, together with Eric Weisz from Circly GmbH, will provide practical knowledge on:

the technical basics of AI

the objectives and provisions of the EU AI Act

specific application examples and scenarios from the retail sector to raise risk awareness

These training courses are an important step in ensuring that companies are legally compliant before the majority of the AI Act requirements become mandatory from August 2026.
